Art on the Bay | New Baltimore, MII was happy to jump on board as an in-kind sponsor for the annual Art on the Bay art fair in New Baltimore, MI this past Labor Day weekend. The art fair was held in the city park nestled along Lake St. Clair in downtown New Baltimore. You could not ask for a more beautiful setting to hold an art fair. It was a beautiful weekend that brought out thousands of people to check out the art and craft tents. There were great pieces at affordable prices. The art fair is held every Labor Day weekend. Family Portrait Session | Grosse Pointe Farms, MII was first in contact with Wendi and her family, after she won a gift certificate through an auction raising money for a local foster care facility. She wanted to use it to capture photos of her family, which included three children. We decided to hold the photo session at Pier Park in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. We had a beautiful evening, complete with sailboats sailing on Lake St. Clair that provided a peaceful background. Wendi's family was a joy to work with. The kids were adorably charming and helped to contribute ideas on how they wanted to be photographed.
Peresky Triplets | Detroit, MIThat's right - Triplets! Two girls and a boy! Sometimes the best things in life come in threes. I recently had the pleasure of photographing Detroit's own triplets along with their parents Jeanette Pierce and Richard Peresky. I have known Jeanette for a long time and was honored she chose me to photograph her growing family. These sweetie pies are the cutest and you can already see their individual personalities starting to emerge at this age of two months old. It was a challenge trying to photograph all three babies without any crying going on, but there was no better way than to capture them in their natural element. I wish much love and happiness for these three siblings. Now, I need to work on scheduling my next visit so I can cuddle with these cutie pies!
Maya Senior Portrait Session | Detroit, MII had so much fun photographing Maya for her senior portraits. She is very artistic, so at her suggestion we held her session on the grounds of the Detroit Institute of Arts and The Belt Alley in downtown Detroit. Both of these locations are very inspiring and overflowing with great photo opportunities. We started at the Belt Alley and after we finished there, we headed to the Detroit Institute of Arts. Maya was a natural in front of the lens. I wish her much success and happiness, as she closes out her final weeks of high school. Below are some of my favorite images from her session:
Jessica & Jonathan Maternity Session | Detroit RiverfrontJessica and Jonathan are due to have their baby in March. We decided to take a chance and hold their winter maternity portrait session outside along the Detroit riverfront at Cullen Plaza and Milliken State Park in Detroit, Michigan. Jessica and Jonathan were a fun couple to work with. They came with some of their own ideas of poses and were open to the suggestions I had. The day we held their session ended up being really cold, but they were troopers. This couple never stopped smiling and had a fun time from start to finish. I wish this couple much love and happiness, as they turn their family of two into three! Are you expecting a baby or know someone who is?
