It has been quite some time since I have done a blog post. Photographs I recently took at Winter Around the World at Valade Park are a great place to start with blogging once again. This event was held by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and celebrated different cultures from around the world. One of the biggest highlights from the weekend full of performances was a Lunar New Year Celebration held in partnership with the Michigan Taiwanese American Organization. The celebration was absolutely beautiful with a snowy background to take photographs against.

Some of the other performances I was able to photograph were from Ho-Chunk Dance & Storytelling, Ballet Folklorico Moyocoyani Izel, The Tropical Wahines, and Adel Ruelas ft. Luna. The event also included food, winter sports activities and large fireplaces to get warm and cozy around.
