Tulips on Mackinac Island

Spring is right around the corner. I can't wait for all of the flowers to start blooming and put some color back into the landscape. Tulips are always a sure sign that spring has arrived.  I took the tulip photographs you see below during a springtime trip to Mackinac Island, a few years ago, on the grounds of the Grand Hotel. In honor of the tulip I will leave you with this great quote I found about them.

"A tulip doesn’t strive to impress anyone. It doesn’t struggle to be different than a rose. It doesn’t have to. It is different. And there’s room in the garden for every flower.” – Marianne Williamson
