My 2017 Photography HighlightsAs this year comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful year I had as a photographer in Detroit and the surrounding area. I had the opportunity to shoot newborns, families, senior portraits, engagements, weddings, birthday parties and more. My favorite part about being a photographer is capturing a moment in time for someone that they will be able to cherish for a lifetime. I feel grateful and honored that my clients chose me to capture some of their most intimate moments this past year. I look forward to 2018! Wedding | Detroit Institute of ArtsIt was a beautiful warm summer night, when I photographed Cheryl & Mike's wedding. They chose one of of the most stunning venues in the city of Detroit for their wedding ceremony and reception: The Detroit Institute of Arts. The couple said their vows in Kresge Court with their reception following immediately after. Guests were even treated to a fantastic tour of one of the galleries. Cheryl and Mike were a lovely couple to work with and I wish them much love and happiness, as they begin this new chapter in their life. Sherena & Jaime Maternity Session | Troy, MI2017 has definitely been the year for babies in my family. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law recently asked me to photograph their maternity session. Of course, I said yes, as I welcomed the opportunity to work with family once again! We chose to do their session at a park in Troy, Michigan that was the perfect fall location. The park was full of trees with beautiful colors that complemented the session and this beautiful mama. My niece joined us for the photo shoot as well. She will make an excellent big sister! I cannot wait to meet this little one and become an aunt once again! Below are some of my favorite photographs from their session.
Victor Newborn Photo Session | Royal Oak, MichiganPhotographing newborn babies is always such a joy, but even better when working with family. My nephew, Victor was recently born in August.
