Calming Your Mind During COVID-19 Part IAs we go through this COVID-19 pandemic, it can often be hard to calm your mind. It is scary to watch this virus tear through our lives not knowing what life will look like on the other side of this. One thing that helps calm my anxiety is being by the water. It could be a lake, river, pond or my personal favorite, the ocean. Being by the water is food for my soul. Since we can't all be by the water right now, I thought I would put together some of my favorite photos of water that I have taken over the years. It is my hope that, by just looking at pictures of the water, I can help at least one person calm their mind. I have decided to start a series of blogs that contain images that make you feel good, induce calmness and maybe even put a smile on your face. Stay tuned for more to come. The Best of 2019I had so much fun in 2019. I had the pleasure of taking senior photos, photographing newborn triplets, taking pictures at one of the hottest Latin dance nights in Detroit, weddings, professional head shots, family photo sessions, photos for future use by local businesses, maternity sessions, local events, and more. My clients took me all around Detroit and the tri-county (Wayne, Oakland and Macomb) area to places like the Detroit Riverfront, Belle Isle, Garden Theater, various neighborhoods, rooftops, alleyways, and more. Also, I was able to take some photos on a recent trip to Puerto Rico. I am honored that my clients trusted me to capture their special moments. My favorite part of being a photographer is having the ability to capture special moments as photographs to last a lifetime for my clients. My deepest wish is for them to be able to look back on their photos one day and relive those moments. I want to thank everyone that I had the good fortune to work with in 2019. Danielle & David | Infinity & Ovation Yacht Wedding on Detroit RiverA wedding on Lake St. Clair followed by a reception down the Detroit River is how this couple celebrated their love for one another. The day began early with the bride and groom getting ready at two separate hotels-taking care not to see each other before the wedding. The bride was surrounded by her mother and bridesmaids, as she stepped into her beautiful gown from Bombshell Bridal Boutique. After getting ready, the bride and groom were both swept away by limousine and taken to the docks of the Infinity and Ovation Yacht Charters. It is here on the edge of Lake St. Clair where the couple exchanged their wedding vows. It was special to see the look in David's eyes, as he first laid eyes on Danielle, who began her walk down the aisle. After the wedding ceremony, Danielle, David and all of their guests headed to the Infinity yacht to celebrate at their reception. The yacht left the dock and began its trek through Lake St. Clair and onto the Detroit River. The scenery was absolutely stunning, as guests celebrated this lovely couple. David and Danielle shared their first dance, as a married couple on the deck of the yacht in between the beautiful skylines of Windsor and Detroit. We finished the day with beautiful photos taken at Belle Isle. It was a pleasure to work with Danielle and David. I am honored that they chose me to document their special day. I wish them much love and happiness as they begin this new chapter of their life together.
Christmas Time | DetroitChristmas has always been a favorite time of year for me. Since I have become a photographer it has become even more special since I get to capture beautiful memories for so many families in the Detroit area. Fatima & Matthew | Belle Isle Maternity SessionI absolutely loved this recent maternity photo session I did with Fatima and Matthew at Belle Isle in Detroit. The couple was flying into town from out of state with a short window of time and wanted to know if I would be available. I am so glad I was! This beautiful mama to be had some great ideas of her own and was open to some of my suggestions as well. We had a beautiful morning to take photographs.
